This heart of mine is overwhelmed with gratitude, humbled by the beautiful people all around the world who have been on their knees, battling for me. I have tasted and seen that life is a vapor, but even more so, that our God is incredibly mighty to save and so very, very good.
One week ago, five days after safely delivering our son on June 17, we made an emergency 1.5 hour trip to the hospital after I developed severe generalized edema, hypertension, difficulty breathing, and headache. By the time we arrived at the hospital, I could no longer communicate or remember my child's name, and for the first time in my life felt very clearly that I would die. God spoke Psalm 118:17 over me and I repeated it in my spirit over and over again.. "I will not die, I will live, and declare what the Lord has done." God did incredible things.
Four days later I was discharged with probable multiple pulmonary micro emboli (blood clots in my lungs) and had lost 30 pounds of fluid. I felt very clearly that Jesus heard the cries of His kids, and I was healed. I am slowly recovering, at home, holding my babies, thankful for life, thankful for Jesus, thankful for all of you who have held us up.
