My friends,
As I lay here in my bed, yes, MY bed in my very own house, I'm listening to sweet Jules chatter beside me in her bed, while she's supposed to be napping, but instead pretending she's talking to someone on the phone who must really be funny because of the little fake laugh she bursts out in every few minutes. My heart feels blessed to have all this, and a little flutter bug in my belly that is growing more every day, and a wonderful husband who keeps feeding and bathing me...
I've been slow to update, because not a whole lot has changed, but I realize that even the fact that nothing has changed is incredible. I've been home from the hospital for about a week and a half now, and nearly four weeks have passed since the original hemorrhage happened. For the past two weeks I have been losing a steady and constant amount of blood, cramping and contracting, but our baby's heartbeat is strong and perfect, and we can almost see God's hand holding him or her so closely, so beautifully. I am 14.5 weeks pregnant, and thanking Jesus for every new day that passes, for each morning that dawns with new mercies, and new life. I will make the two hour trip back to the hospital in Calapan maybe this coming week for an ultrasound and assessmen. I continue to be on IV's and medication for the contractions.
Thank you, amazing ones, for continuing to love us and take us to Jesus in prayer. We love you all so much, and feel honored to have you walking beside us. Our God is incredible, and greater things have yet to come.
