                                                                          Micah 6:8

In 2002, Francis began a small medical clinic in the Island of Mindoro, in the town of Sabang, which is a small town known for it's exceptionally large red-light (prostitution) district.
Our outreach is now being run out of White Beach, and
provides medical/maternity care and medicines free of charge for the poor and the tribal people.  We hike into the Mangyan villages weekly, to do heath-care, education, discipleship and ministry outreach.

Every Sunday afternoon we have fellowship in our home, where local pastors, families, and friends gather to worship, share God's word, and pray over each other. We also have weekly Bible studies and fellowship groups. We are passionate about helping to unite the local pastors and churches, bringing a spirit of reconciliation, healing, and unity to the local body of Christ.

We have five Filipino staff members made up of medical assistants and midwives who work with us to love people well.
The desire of our hearts, in all we do, is to worship God, walk with Him and love people.  All ministry, service, and care we give comes out of the overflow of our love for Jesus.

Oriental Mindoro is home to eight tribes of the indigenous
Mangyan people.  They are a beautiful, humble, kind people who are oppressed, poor, uneducated, largely un-reached, and without health-care.  Our vision is that soon they will be liberated, redeemed, cared-for, empowered, and given a voice-- this is the heart of Jesus for His broken ones.

We partner with the local pastors, health officials and government, and work with them by going into the Mangyan tribal villages.
Together we
reach the Mangyan people in more sustainable ways through education, discipleship and by teaching them means of livelihood, agriculture, and disease prevention.

Healing Center and Maternity Home

For over ten years we have had the vision to build a Healing and Maternity center in the mountains, more accessible to far-reaching Mangyan villages, and focused on providing free Holistic care for the tribal people. Mangyan moms and babies have a high mortality and morbidity rate, and as part of our passion to see whole communities and families transformed and made whole, it is essential we do more to bring them direct care.

This center will be a place of peace, where all tribal and poor people are given priority, honor, value, and quality medical, maternity, but also holistic healing care. It will be planned and built, and eventually run by Mangyans.
We are praying and hoping to acquire land and begin building in the next year, and our vision includes having Mangyan-built waiting huts that could accommodate families who hike from their mountain village to wait for labor to begin, as well as to recover post-partum before hiking home.

Many people come to our home who are walking through trauma and brokenness, and are experiencing healing as the Holy Spirit ministers to their hearts, spirits, and minds. We are passionate about walking beside people well as they have bondage broken off of their lives and learn to walk in freedom and healing.
We believe that true healing is wholistic and encompasses body, mind, soul, and spirit. With this in mind, we envision a healing center as being part of our health-care campus, where people can come for prayer, encouragement, counseling, love, discipleship.

Please pray about partnering with us in this vision and if you'd like to give directly to this project, get in touch with us.

  1.  God has also given us the vision of starting a refuge to help women and children escape the sex-slave industry in Puerto Galera -  a place where they can experience physical, emotional, sexual and spiritual healing, as well as become educated and empowered to live the lives of abundance that God has for them.

The nearby town of Sabang is relatively small,  but is renowned for it's red-light (prostitution) district. Estimates of the number of women who are being used in prostitution are extremely high. Many of these girls are underage and sold into the industry against their will, while others who have no education turn to sex-work out of desperation to provide for their children.

We are in the process of forming a non-profit organization with a board of directors made up of local leaders who will work with us to bring this vision to life.

Mission And Vision

Picture

Our Mission:

To embody the love of Jesus Christ as we serve as missionaries and health workers by loving, serving, and empowering every person we meet with the heart of grace that Jesus has shown us.  We desire to worship God in all we do, make Him known, and to make disciples of Jesus.

Our Vision:
  • To establish a place where people come to have their broken bodies treated, and also have their broken spirits and hearts nurtured, loved, and pointed to Jesus, who is the ultimate Healer.
  • Through our partnership with other ministries, to see the villages and people of the Mangyan tribes reached with the love of Jesus, empowered, educated, cared-for, sustained, and healthy.
  • To provide a refuge to help rescue women and children from the sex-slave industry and lives of abuse, providing an environment of love, healing, restoration, and empowerment.

We are passionate about God's heart for social justice and believe He has called us to show His heart of love and compassion to the oppressed, the crushed, the desperate and the broken, and to help end cycles of injustice and poverty.
